Chardonnay

Chardonnay was introduced to Alto Adige by Archduke Johann as early as 1835. It has since become a key variety for our winery. The calcareous gravel soils around Magrè provide the ideal growing conditions for this grape – this was a significant factor in our grandfather’s decision to purchase the Löwengang Estate in Magrè back in 1934.
