LINDENBURG Lagrein

Named after the linden tree that grows at the entrance, the Lindenburg Estate in Bolzano has long been the residence of the Lageder family. The vineyards were renovated in the 1950s, preserving the traditional pergola cultivation style. Bolzano, one of Italy’s warmest cities in summer, offers ideal conditions for the Lagrein grape variety.

The Lindenburg Estate

Alto Adige’s provincial capital of Bolzano lies in a wide valley basin formed over millennia by converging rivers. The site where the Lindenburg is located is considered one of the two best sites for Lagrein cultivation in Alto Adige. It is characterised by deep alluvial soils along the banks of the Talvera River. The historic estate has been our family’s residence for three generations.
